Character Sheet Character Info:
Name: Harry James Potter Age/DOB: 31, July 1980 House: Gryffindor Alumni Likes & Dislikes: Likes: Quidditch, spending time with Ron and Hermione, not being tormented by megalomaniac wizards, playing with Teddy. Other that that…he doesn't really know. Dislikes: Cowards, inequality, paperwork (More to be added as time goes on)
Sexuality (Please Be Realistic): Straight. He's only ever made love to Ginny though.
Personality Quirks: Habit of rushing in to 'save people' without thinking through the consequences; selfless to the point of doing things that makes him unhappy just because it pleases someone else; tries to handle everything himself even if it's unrealistic to think he doesn't need help
Appearance: Though Harry is no where near the short, skinny kid he was at Hogwarts, he never grew to be as tall as Ron. He stands a couple inches shy of 6 feet, but has a good build. He's still thin, but through Auror training has gained a sort of swimmer's build—long limbs and slender, toned muscles. He's got the same wild black hair and green eyes, though his glasses are more contemporary than they used to be, and sometimes he wears contacts or performs a sight charm. He's had to get used to dressing in his own clothes, no more hand-me-downs from the Dursleys, but he tends to gravitate towards jeans and simple shirts when not in Auror robes.
Played By: Matt Dallas
History (3+ paragraphs):
Harry was raised--if their near-neglect could be called 'parenting'-- by his mother's sister and her husband. His parents were murdered by Voldemort when Harry was just over a year old, due to a prophecy that named Harry to be the one wizard who could defeat Voldemort. All of this was unknown to Harry until his 11th birthday, when Hagrid came to give him his Hogwarts letter. The discovery of the Wizarding world was both amazing and heart-breaking for Harry, who finally realized he had people who cared about him, only to find out they were dead. However, for the first time in his life he had friends--real, actual friends!--and was respected (for the most part) and looked up to. In his third year he had more good news--he had a godfather who wanted Harry to come live with him. It was more than he'd ever dared to hope for, though he'd dreamed of it a few times. That happiness wasn't to last long, however, when Sirius had to go on the run, and then died just two years later. 6th and 7th years were far from pleasant, though they had their moments. That kiss with Ginny in 6th year was one of the best moments of his life. He still regrets that their relationship didn't work out, and he couldn’t give her what she needed. He figures something was lacking with him, and that's why she dumped him. Since their break-up he's gone on a few dates, but nothing serious.
After defeating Voldemort, Harry took his NEWTs, refusing to accept a position in Auror training until he'd earned it by doing more than dying. He made it through Auror training, and is now a fully-fledged Auror, hunting down the last of the Death Eaters and making the Wizarding World safe. And so what if sometimes he wishes he could quit and go off and play Quidditch, or lock himself in Grimmauld place and never come out? He's not going to do it. He knows what he needs to do, what the Wizarding World needs him to me. He's not about to let anyone down now. He's still got that 'Saving People Thing' going on, and it's not likely to go away anytime soon.
Harry is, by now, used to his fame. He's not the same kid who was overwhelmed by Rita Skeeter, and in the years since the war as learned how to deflect media attention like a pro. Of course, he still gets his fair share (more than!) of press, especially since he's a fully-trained Auror now. It still makes him uncomfortable, but at least he's learned how to have a semblance of normalcy even with photographers hounding his footsteps.
Personality (2+ paragraphs):
Harry is, for the most parts, a very decent bloke. He's honest (except when he has to lie), brave (to the point of being stupid in some cases) and quick on his feet in times of high stress (whether it's dueling Death Eaters, or battling his way through rabid reporters). Except for a few months over 5th year, he's not very quick to anger either (unless it's Malfoy pushing the buttons, or someone being treated unfairly, or mentions of Voldemort or...okay, so maybe he is quick to anger, but only for very good reasons).
Harry is loyal and will do anything for his friends (he died, didn't he? And he doesn't regret his decisions for a minute.). Since the Siege at Hogwarts, Harry has well-hidden bouts of depression, and self-loathing, brought on by post-traumatic stress. He can usually talk himself out of those moods, usually by reminding himself he cannot be selfish and needs to think about what to do to set the Wizarding World to rights. Besides, there are other, larger issues to think about than himself, the at-large Death Eaters are just the tip of the iceberg.
Confusion about his relationship with Ginny keeps him up at night, along with responsibilities that come with saving the world, political pressures he faces on a daily basis, and oh, just about everything else he can think of. Harry has a very bad habit of taking on all the problems of the world and thinking he has to fix them because he's Harry Potter.
